Robertson is a gem.
Robertson is a gem. It's such a neat and well cared for little town. It's quiet and relaxing and has so many little hidden gem spots to explore and enjoy.
It's perfectly situated to explore the surrounds like Montagu, Ashton, McGregor, etc.
Stunning lunch at Van Loveren
Incredible breakfast at Four Cousins - fast friendly service with wel made food.
The boat cruise at Viljoensdrift is a must.

Robertson is an absolute gem in the Western Cape!
Robertson is an absolute gem in the Western Cape! Nestled in the breathtaking Breede River Valley and surrounded by the stunning Langeberg Mountains, it’s a town that truly lives up to its title as the "Valley of Wine and Roses."
Whether you're a wine enthusiast or simply love scenic beauty, Robertson has something for everyone. The wine estates are spectacular, offering unforgettable tasting experiences along one of the world’s longest wine routes. Beyond the vineyards, the town charms with its rich history and local art galleries that give you a taste of its vibrant culture.
For adventure seekers, there are endless outdoor activities like hiking, river cruises, and nature walks. And if you’re lucky enough to visit during one of their festivals, you’ll experience the warm, celebratory spirit of the town and its people.
Robertson is more than just a stop on Route 62, it’s a destination you’ll want to linger in. Highly recommend!

Robertson is the perfect weekend getaway from Cape Town, just about an hour and 45 minutes away. This short travel time means you can maximize your stay without spending too much time on the road. However, be warned—there are so many lovely places to visit that you might not be able to enjoy everything in just one weekend.

Our Favorite winery was Springfield Estate, beautiful grounds and views of the pond while enjoying wonderful wines. Our GPS worked well and we found our way around the Robertson wine region. Robertson region was a quick two day visit for us, the next time we would give the area more time to explore the region and the many wineries available to visit. We saw, but did not have time for, hiking, biking, horse back riding, Breed River kayaking, and the hot springs. We also visited small sleepy McGregor, 15 minute drive from Robertson, to walk the Main Street as the shops had a store front Sunday open market and goods for sale. Montague was in our route to Robertson, we only visited the main town with a 30 minute drive through, so we did not have time to explore the hot springs or the hiking trails, but as it was surrounded by the mountains, we could see hiking would be enjoyable if you have the time. The tourist office has information on the trails and the time required.

Everything. Simply a superb building/venue with mountain and vineyard views. After visiting 15 self catering accommodations this year this one was the best. Rooms en suite just superb. Lounge with fireplace just superb. Kitchen with amenities just superb. It is an enormous house that easily sleeps 10.
Our second visit to OGF. For us this is the BEST place to just relax and unwind. Comfortable accommodation with everything you would need for self catering. Beautiful views and walks. Lots of wine farms in the area to visit.
the place looked very nice on arrival. The supplied braai wood. many braai spices
an airfryer and evry thing in what you would wand in a self catering place
The aircon worked well and you need it .
A true Robertson experience in the service. A oom and tannie who really make you feel at home with the best traditional breakfast. Love the stories they tell. The room was clean and well equipped.
Great location, beautiful hotel and fab room. Dining area so pretty with beautiful pond and sweet little spa hut.Pool area lovely. Staff delightful. Dinner excellent
