1. The outer corridor at room 304 is perched having a view on the environment, uncomfortable with feeling dizzy when walking along especially for elderly like us. I suggest that the space needs to be walled or covered.
2. The shower has slippery tiles and no supporting gadgets to hook on in case of eventual fall.
3. There is no proper wardrobe to keep safe clothing
4. A hanging fan is old fashion and its switch is by the entrance. To switch it on/off, one need to get out of bed. There should be air Con with remote control to control it from the bed.
5. The car parking is horrible. You need to be guided with risk of scratching someone else car.
6. The toilet we used around the car park, before getting a room: No toilet paper. It also has a dangerous foot step which may cause accidently falls.
7. Because of the fear of slippery floor in the shower, I walked out leaving behind my electric tooth brush and my washing bath gloves. I remembered them when checking out. But, because of that perched corridor, none of us dared going up again to recover them.

Harare is home for me, so I am biased - its lively and bustling like a typical African capital. Depending on your budget, you can select where you want to stay from 5 star hotels to swanky backpackers and guesthouses. Same with local and international cuisine. You will notice the many fried chicken outlets and petrol service stations. Traffic can be hectic during peak periods, so better to explore outside of peak hours if you drive. Cheap taxis are offered by In Drive - just download the app and save..

Harare is a friendly city with accessible transportation options, such as "mushika shika," although travelling by these can be unsafe due to poor road conditions. Getting around is relatively easy, and there are numerous food outlets, fast-food restaurants, and plazas that offer a diverse menu. My favourite is the traditional food available in the area.

Didn't see anything much coz was there overnight. Disappointed that people there assumed that every black person speaks Shona. Even airport stuff address traveller's in that language which is unprofessional.

A good base to explore the North-Eastern part of Zimbabwe if you rent a car. For a very good meal in Harare, we recommend the Chang Thai Restaurant (servings are generous: if you cannot finish it, they will be happy to prepare a doggy bag for you)
