Our room had 4 comfortable beds, a shower room and separate toilet so plenty of space We walked along the river into Salzburg for a look around and dinner in the evening

The family-run 3-star Hotel Plainbrücke is located 1.6 mi from the center of Salzburg. Free WiFi and free private parking are available. Nice little place! Tiny hotel that looks like it was a secondary railway station at some point - the tracks are very, very close behind it and there's a train stop there, too. Despite that, I could never hear the trains go by. The room was spacious, with a nice sink and a shower. Small but functional TV, with HDMI and analog inputs. Analog cable was provided. The toilet was on the ground floor, but it was always empty when I went there. There is a snacks/drinks machine on the stairs, with reasonable prices. The cleaning staff let me sleep!! They didn't even knock on the door when I put the "do not disturb" sign on the door. Decent breakfast, warm room.

Located in Salzburg, 1.7 miles from Salzburg Central Station, Hotel Genta has accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. Comfortable room, perfect for my needs, not a lot of space around the bed but I did not really need any. Got a piece of chocolate as well :)

Haus Salzburgblick (ehem. Haus Elisabeth) offers accommodations in Salzburg, 2.7 miles from MesseZentrum Exhibition Center and 2.7 miles from Mozarteum. Even though the property is a bit removed from the city center, public transport could get us there in 15 minutes and the privacy/countryside feel of the inn was WELL worth the sacrifice of proximity. You have a beautiful view of the mountains from afar! Breakfast was top tier, the room was very nice, clean and cozy, but the best part was easily the service/staff! Michaela did everything she could to make us feel at home and to make our trip great. She sat with us at breakfast to answer our questions about the city, she checked the weather forecast for us, leant us her umbrella, and gave us great tips for what to do during our stay. She really cared that we got the most out of our trip.

The Kolpinghaus Hostel enjoys a quiet location next to the Salzach River, a 15-minute bus ride from Salzburg’s Old Town and a 15-minute walk from the Main Train Station. It’s very clean and near the river. easy walking trail to old town.
