The location is superb; it's practically downtown the Rodoviária (bus station) is almost across from the hotel, and it's very near the Mercado Público, where you can go shopping for souvenirs or simply grab a beer. From just outside the lobby, there is a great view of the bay and the lovely Hercílio Luz bridge. Also, they have a collective of restaurants and bars right next door, called Armazém Rita María, which is quite lively and slightly upscale. The staff was quite friendly and helpful.

Hotel Porto da Ilha offers stylish rooms in the heart of Florianópolis. Very nice room, good shower, helpful staff, good location and big variation of breakfast buffet. We did really like it there and will come back.

This 5-star hotel offers luxury accommodations, views of the North Bay, just minutes from Beiramar Shopping Mall, several beaches on the north, south and east of Santa Catarina Island. The overall experience was terrific. Our room was large and very comfortable. We had an amazing view overlooking Floripa!
