El encantador hotel Landhaus está situado en pleno centro de Saanen, a sólo 2 km de Gstaad, y ofrece habitaciones hermosas de estilo rústico y sabrosas especialidades suizas. I thoroughly enjoyed my 7 nights here.Wonderful ,cheerful and helpful front desk staff ,restaurant staff and room cleaning staff.Bed ,linens,towels,bathroom-all high quality. Breakfast had many healthy options,including freshly made breads , cereals ,fish,dried fruits ,nuts,soft-boiled eggs,cheeses,home-made fruit jams and daily-made fruit cocktail( it was NOT from a can!) .I also appreciated that they made me a soy cappuccino every morning. The hotel was 35% of the price of comparable hotels in Gstaad,a quick 4 -minute train ride away.The train ran hourly but the buses ran every 10/15 minutes-so never a problem . The train stop (Saanen) is a 1-minute walk from the hotel. Saanen is much more authentic a town than Gstaad,and more interesting. Next to the hotel is a small farmers market-type store selling fruits,vegetables,nuts,grains-everything,really. I slept with the windows open every night-it was that quiet. Lovely pace! Excellent base from which to sample the various ski runs nearby.

Cosy and very clean apartment right at the Saanen train station and within a couple of minutes walking to the center of the village. Very well equipped kitchen and tastefully decorated living room. The exchange with the lady who manages the chalet and hands out the keys was very pleasant.
