Located in the historic Lastarria district, in the heart of Santiago, Hotel Montecarlo offers modern rooms with air conditioning and a cable TV. Free private parking is possible on site. Location Location. We changed our booking to this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend from Santiago. This is a great area. There are so many cafes and restaurants and art galleries all around. Ice crem too. We went to the Sunday market and bought some great presents. There are two Metro stations nearby, so travelling around Santiago is easy. Right opposite the hotel there is the Cerro Santa Lucia which is a hill and park, it is steep to climb, but it has great views of all of Santiago. The hotel is very good, we had a very big room, and it was very clean. Santiago is a really interesting city, worth visiting again, and we would definitely stay here
