Located between the Confucius Temple area and Xinjiekou commercial district, Holiday Inn Nanjing features a gym, a swimming pool and rooms with internet access. The location is superb, just a very short and easy walk away from most of the main sights in Nanjing. The staff are the most helpful hotel staff I've ever dealt with and the service has been the best I've ever received in any hotel I've stayed in to date. To name just one example, when I told the receptionists I needed a knife to cut some fruit, they literally delivered one to my door by sending someone to my room.

Personally, I love the chinese spread, being in China, I want to eat something Chinese. The hotel location is at the centre of tourist spot, yet away from crowd and near main road where you can get cab easily. Also near an MRT station. Makes going anywhere convenient. The staff were attentive and gave clear directions and instructions to the places that we want to go.

The decoration of the room is simple yet cozy. During the night, it is incredibly quiet. We took a walk in the early morning and truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the surroundings.
