As I am doing an internship in Aalto and trying to experience different areas in Helsinki, then this place is a good one to stay in Kallio. The tram, metro and a lot of nice restaurants are very close by (including vegetarian ones).

There are several long-open shops, pubs and restaurants nearby (and a wonderful public sauna!!!). Very good transport to the city center (it's also a short distance on foot).
