The Hop Inn is a great hotel. 24/7 service desk, wifi, refillable water stations at each floor, spacious rooms with airco, hot water and a TV screen. It was a very comfortable stay. The location also is good, 15 min from the aquarium, 30 min from the harbor, several malls close by, and a 7-eleven right next door. Only negative is maybe that the sea side of Manila is not that nice, so if you book the seaside view, you'll mostly see container ships floating around.

I really didn't know what to expect. First impressions weren't good. However, the room (301) was clean and comfortable. It's a drive-in motel with themed rooms. Make of that what you will. I had and executive suite and it was big enough and a large bathroom. The bed is comfortable albeit a little softer than I'm used to. It's also a short-time hotel (no judgment). All in all, quite surreal but clean, comfortable and safe. I wouldn't stay more than one night.
