Sharing the subsistence farmer's lifestyle. Buffalo, goats, chicken, dog, cats. Many garden & tree crops. 3 room Bldg: Hom, his wife&son sleep in 1 room, you sleep in the 2d, with kitchen 3d. There is electricity & internet! Outbldg for primitive toilet &shower. Wood stove cooking shed. I LOVED it but it's not for the faint hearted. The hike up is VERY strenuous. If you want to experience real Nepali subsistence farming, this is the place!
Everything was so nice, I loved the restaurant would use the plants that they were farming inside the hotel so that was very nice and everything was so clean and green. Rooms had the name of a hindu god or special yoguic personage so that was a lovely touch having on mind I am a yoga teacher and the stories behind each one are very interesting and special. There was also a loving dog that would greet you time to time and there was also a nice rooftop where I would do some yoga and see the sunrise with view to the lake too.
Staying in Barang with Kabi's family was the highlight of our 4 weeks in Nepal. Ama and Baba were so welcoming, and they showed us so much about village life in Nepal. We were invited to help with cooking and farmwork, so we learned alot. Our favourite part was sitting in the kitchen to have meals together (by the way, all meals are included). We will always cherish our memories of Barang and can't wait to visit again one day.
Wow! 3 days here was not enough! I had an amazing time here living like a local, helping on the farm as well. Mr Hom and his family are the nicest people that I’ve met! The nice warm meals and just them always ready to help. I highly recommend staying here, and I cannot wait to return!
The location is a bit secluded from the center of Pokhara, which is what we were looking for (although you have to ride through a bit of non-paved road). You could experience the rural part of the city. The staff were super nice and attentive. Breakfast and other meals were great. I would recommend this place to people who are looking to get out of the busy city and relax.

A very authentic village homestay with the most friendliest host. Amazing homegrown food, farming experiences and the calm and serene nature all around us were the highlights. We loved staying here and will definitely be back!
If you want to experience how the nepali people live, than Hom's place is the best! You wil see and learn how it is on a farm. Eat organic tastefull homecooked food. En be surounded by the openhearted family 😊
You can walk up to sarangkot vieuwpoint to see the majestic anna purna range with the sunrise. Or if you want to go trekking, Hom is also the guy for you.
The location was peaceful and picturesque. I loved that it was a working farm and to visit the animals. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive and helped us with every request. Food and wine were excellent and reasonably priced. Rural mountain views. Perfect.
