The village of Cherry River (Orford) is also great, with micro-breweries and great little cafes and restaurants. The hotel itself is large and commodius, and we have loved it before because of the pools, outdoor hot tub, large rooms, etc. but our stay wasn't as great as it has been for us in the past.
