The place was exactly as expected, idyllic small town holiday house. It's nothing fancy, but It's right in the middle of town, close to everything. But also right on a small stream and rocks and park that kids wanted to go climbing and 'hiking' in (we visited in the summer). The toboggan and other activities were all amazing for the kids, and all very near. The staff were very accommodating and have clearly been doing this for years, thanks again for the hospitality. We will be returning when the kids are old enough to do the downhill mountain bike trails! :)

Great location with loads to do for families

Good location, walking distance to the pedestrian street, quiet neighborhood, free parking at the street. The breakfast is quite basic, but OK, the breakfast room is nice. There is a refrigerator in the breakfast room, where you can keep your own food and drinks cold. Rooms and bathroom are clean.

Located 2.5 km from central Wernigerode, this countryside, family-owned hotel features billiards, tennis and squash facilities, as well as a sunny terrace for relaxing.

We chose to sleep in the wooden barrel which is outside in the backyard and we loved it! There you have your own little terrace and the sound of a running river in the background. We were also happy with the breakfast buffet.
