The Winning Post has everything to recommend it. The rooms are excellent. They face the rear of the property so a quiet night is assured. The bar is vibrant with locals and visitors. We had both dinner and breakfast and both were exceptional.

Fantastic hotel. The house itself is fascinating and the grounds adjacent to the river are fabulous.
Room was amazing with nice little touches. We were given an upgrade to a suite by the very helpful man in reception.
Nice spa and swimming pool, well equipped gym.

We stayed in a suite which, was very spacious and comfortable for a family of 3. All toiletries were provided in large bottles, so we didn’t run out. Staff were friendly and there was lots of choice for breakfast. Would recommend adding Breakfast to the room rate, as this was only £35 more for 2 days. To pay for this as the hotel would have been £18 each per day. Would recommend staying here if attending an event at the Reading stadium. However we were the only ‘away’ visitors. Regardless everyone was still friendly.

Fancy being able to walk straight from your hotel room onto a beautiful golf course? This is exactly what you’ll get by staying at a golf hotel, which often features luxury facilities like a gourmet restaurant, a health spa and high-end shops. Golf hotels are often set in dramatic locations, so you can enjoy lots of different outdoor activities.
Stayed here twice now. The staff are first class and the hotel is very good. Breakfast is excellent. A very good buffet. The location is perfect for us (golf at Wentworth).
Came down to play some golf but my colleague had to cancel late. This meant I had already paid for a twin room - making it a bit more expensive than planned. Otherwise - I would have rated value for money higher. Otherwise the property was excellent. A well stocked bar and great leisure facilities in a good location.
Last on reception - foreign sounding - fair hair- incredibly helpful and friendly . Worth her wait in golf
