The bathroom was not fully clean the mirror still had toothpaste marks on it from previous visitors. The bath had what looked like bird poo in it as the bath must have been chipped, but whatever has been used to try and fix it doesn't look great. The plugs at the sides of the bed do not accommodate mobile phone charges, which I thought was disappointing. The lady on reception was welcoming and explained everything.
Just 6 minutes’ walk from Hoylake Train Station, Green Lodge, Wirral by Marston's Inns offers well-appointed rooms and a bar and restaurant.

Lovely spacious light room with bay window, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed.
£8.95 breakfast is a well cooked full English or a Bacon, cheese & mushroom Omlette, toast, coffee, fresh orange juice.
Our evening meal was very enjoyable too.
The Breeze Guest House in Bootle is just 2 miles from Anfield, the home of Liverpool Football Club. It offers traditional English food, individually designed rooms and free parking.

We had booked for 4 nights but checked out after 1. The hotel itself was very dark and shabby. It was not in a very nice area as we found out when we walked to the main road to catch a bus. Our room was awful. No room to put anything in the bathroom. A broken tile, the grab bar in the shower was rusty and the window blind didn’t work. The window ledge behind the blind was filthy. The curtain was partly hanging off the rail in the bedroom and was very creased. The small hanging space had a shelf on top which was very dusty.The bedside lamp on 1 side did not work and the shade was hanging off on the other. When I pulled the drawer out on the bedside cabinet it nearly fell on
the floor. Also they asked us to put a £50 deposit in our visa account which would be cancelled if everything was left in order. We are currently corresponding with the hotel trying to get our money refunded

Super stay in a lovely room at the bottom of the main house garden. Room was kitted out with everything you might need. Lovely interior, books on walks, kettle etc. Warm welcome, from friendly host and a fabulous breakfast. An very enjoyable stay.

The staff at Beech Hotel (there were no staff at Sheil Suites) were friendly and very helpful. I had a problem with the door lock and the problem was sorted out immediately.
