Refurbished in 2016, the Shandon Hotel & Spa is situated in the small village of Dunfanaghy and offers a wonderful views of the Sheephaven Bay and a luxury spa.

We had such a lovely time at The Shandon Hotel. We were upgraded to a seaview room on arrival, which was such a thoughtful surprise — and honestly, the view was incredible. Looking out over the water every morning was the perfect way to start the day.
The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they genuinely care about guests having a good experience.
The food was fantastic too — fresh, tasty, and plenty of choice whether you’re after something casual or a bit more special.
Can’t recommend The Shandon enough for a relaxing break in a beautiful part of Donegal. Thanks again to the whole team — we’ll definitely be back!
In Dunfanaghy village, Arnolds has views of Sheephaven Bay, Horn Head and the sandy beach of Killahoey Strand. It offers many horse-riding activities and a restaurant with an AA Rosette award.
