We booked our stay very late due to a family funeral and we arrived after midnight. The family who run the lodge could not have been more welcoming. The room was exceptional, and as a frequent business traveller, the breakfasts were the best I have had all year, in fact, for many years. I can highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Kerry.
This friendly and relaxed hotel has superb views over Killarney's Lower Lake and MacGillicuddy Reeks. It is a gateway to the Ring of Kerry on the shores of Loch Lein.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless and of the highest standard. The check-in process was smooth, with friendly and professional staff who took care of my bags and car effortlessly. Their hospitality was truly outstanding.
The room was absolutely beautiful—spotlessly clean, stylishly designed, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail was carefully thought out, making my stay both relaxing and luxurious. The level of service throughout the hotel was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a perfect experience.
This hotel is truly one in a million, setting the bar high in every aspect. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier stay!
Fancy being able to walk straight from your hotel room onto a beautiful golf course? This is exactly what you’ll get by staying at a golf hotel, which often features luxury facilities like a gourmet restaurant, a health spa and high-end shops. Golf hotels are often set in dramatic locations, so you can enjoy lots of different outdoor activities.
Great quiet location, ideal for us within half an hour of Tralee Golf Club. it is down a long lane & is a peceful setting.
Lovely warm welcome from our host. The cottage was warm as the stove had been lit, there was coffee, tea, milk, bread, butter, biscuits, crisps in the kitchen, TV & couple of 2 seaters to relax on. Very comfy beds. Really good shower.
Cladogh was very welcoming and helpful. The room is well decorated with quality throughout and a fabulous breakfast. Great views across the lough. Handy to walk to the golf club for dinner.
Fabulous location, beautiful rooms, absolutely spotlessly clean, superb breakfast,..walking distance from the golf club and one of the most beautiful beaches Ive ever seen. Dara is an outstanding host, as are all of the team...really perfect place to stay for a relaxing break away from it all. Thank you all for making my stay incredible! I'll be back!!
Ideally located for our trip to Tralee Golf Club. The house is very spacious and clean. 4 big double bedrooms with a large sitting room. The kitchen was fully equipped to cater to all our needs. I would highly recommend this house for a family holiday etc.
Fabulous in every aspect. Clodagh is an exceptional host. The rooms are extremely comfortable, well equipped and immaculate. Claire prepares fantastic breakfasts and home made bread and scones. They are a formidable team who go above and beyond. I chose this destination because of the location and reviews and was not disappointed. Five star luxury and location with the nicest of hosts. Excellent food at the nearby Tralee Golf Club.
Just about everything about Barrow Lodge is beautiful. Just when we needed time away from tourists we arrived at this booking, what a wonderful surprise. The silence and stillness of the bay, apart from the odd birds, was such a lovely change. The view across the bay is stunning. Our host, Clodagh, has done everything to make our stay comfortable and stress free. The breakfast was very good with a good range of choices. The lodge is close to Tralee Golf Club (walking distance) which does great meals with a wonderful view.
The style and ambience of the property made for a very comfortable stay.
Spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed and efficient shower.
It’s position on the waterfront of Barrow Bay is stunning.
Breakfast was excellent with choice of buffet, full Irish or vegetarian.
Local golf club is available 5 minutes walk away for an evening meal and various other eateries within a short drive.
