Family-run for 150 years, the Boutique Hotel Balm is located in a green suburb of Lucerne and features a gourmet restaurant with fish and other specialities and offers free WiFi in all rooms. Staying here was truly a memorable experience, made even better by the outstanding staff who went above and beyond to accommodate us. I was in Lucerne to compete in the Swiss City Marathon, and they graciously prepared an early breakfast to fit my race schedule. Edith at reception was incredibly thoughtful, taking time to calm my nerves and ensuring I had everything I needed for the big day. It was the kind of personal touch that’s rare to find and so appreciated. The hotel’s onsite restaurant and Bistro were constantly buzzing with patrons, a clear indication of their popularity. Although we didn’t get a chance to dine in this time, we’ll definitely be trying them on our next visit. With service and atmosphere this exceptional, we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in Lucerne!

Situated 450 metres above Lake Lucerne on the Bürgenberg mountain, in the Bürgenstock Resort, the Waldhotel by Bürgenstock was designed by star architect Matteo Thun and features the Waldhotel Spa and... Wonderful staff at Waldhotel, especially those in the restaurant are very attentive to our needs and requests. Excellent food at Verbena restaurant, both in terms of quality, taste and presentation. It started to snow the day we arrived. The Burgenstock turned into a winter wonderland with spectacular views. Great spa. It was a treat to appreciate the snow falling while enjoying the hot outdoor pool:-) Free tickets for the furnicular and boat to Lucerne was a plus.

Appartements Hofquartier are located in Luzern, a 10-minute walk from the train station and the KKL culture and convention centre and a 5-minute walk from the old town. The manager of the apartments, Patricia, was phenomenal. She was very friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond the call of duty so to speak. The apartment was excellent and the location was perfect. Again, many thanks to Patricia for making us feel at home at the apartment.

Our room was large and well-laid out with the rare attention to detail and caring that makes all the difference. The couple who own the Caschu Alp Boutique Design Hotel work tirelessly to make every guest feel special. An amazing four days in every way. WARNING. Park your car in the valley at the funicular. There are luggage trolleys that make the 10 minute trip effortless.
