A 10-minute drive from Adi Sucipto Airport, Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta offers modern and spacious rooms with free WiFi in the heart of Yogyakarta. Breakfast was good. Better than what the so called “popular place” to eat in Jogja. The children’s amenities are good too with the kids club and slides at the pool. The staff on duty at the kids club in the morning is excellent and made my kids feel welcomed and played with them.

The apartment is big, has big windows and has all the basics: water, Internet and good WiFi. It looks exactly like in the fotos. However, the check in and check out system is super inefficient. There is a receptionist who speaks VERY basic English and doesn't provide any instructions on how to open the door (I struggled), the WiFi password or anything at all. I had to text them through booking to get the WiFi password. To be fair, they replied to me very quickly. Then at the check out, I left the apartment at 8:30am by giving the key to the same man, and when I landed in Kuala Lumpur, I had a message from the hotel saying they didn't have the key in the reception! Definitely, they need to improve their check in/out system urgently.
