Whispering Sands Beachfront Motel is situated on Waikanae Beach, just a 10-minute walk from Gisborne city centre. Our apartment backed directly onto the grassed area that led to the beach. Our toddler could play and we could sit and relax just outside the room close to our food and drink.

Comfortable and pleasant unit está situado en Gisborne. Con estacionamiento privado de cortesía, el departamento se encuentra en una zona donde sus huéspedes pueden practicar senderismo, pesca y... A deceptively large place with absolutely tonnes of storage space and space to relax. The kitchen is great, more than enough equipment to cook some nice meals. Bed incredibly comfortable and the local area is very quiet so we had a great sleep every night. As a little bonus the TV has sky sports so I was able to watch Newcastle United ☺️ In terms of location it's maybe 40 mins walk to the centre, was fine for us but there's a bus too and obviously if you want to drive it's about 5 minutes. Overall a lovely little place full of nice touches that have obviously been thought about. Very much recommend for anyone wanting to stay a few days in Gisborne.

Unit 4 was at the back of the motel away from the road and was very quiet.

Absolutely fabulous staff and room. Staff were so accommodating, room was clean and roomy and it was a nice and quiet location! Highly recommend!!

Waikanae Beach Motel is located in Gisborne city centre. The motel is situated directly across the road from beautiful Waikanae Beach and the Boardwalk. We loved everything about this motel, super lovely hosts.... Thank you for staying back Abit to let us check in after our 15 hour detour from Auckland 🥰😊
