I stayed 3 nights at Guesthouse Shtini. The access the Fshat village, where the guesthouse is located can be an adventure in itself. The unpaved road for 7-8km isn’t suitable for some vehicles, including a 150CC scooter, the one I was riding on 😂
Jeton and Meliha don’t speak English but we communicated through online Google translator. The homemade dinner cost €8-9 per person and it’s abundance. It is one of a kind, a true guest house experience in a village tucked behind the mountains.

The host was extremely welcoming and kind. There is a restaurant at the property and he prepared us a great dinner when we arrived (for a reasonable price). After he prepared us breakfast the next morning, he let us leave our car at the property the next day while we climbed Mt Korab (the trailhead to the hike is right across the street from the guest house). Would absolutely stay again and the perfect guest house for any activities on Mt Korab!

Festa and Sabriu are the ultimate hosts. This is the 2nd time we have stayed there and it is as wonderful as ever. The food is excellent and traditional. Most things come from their farm and their animals. They have added an enclosed dining area since we were last there, and Sabriu is building an addition with three guest rooms that look very nice. The village is interesting to walk around and the location is gorgeous. We felt like we were members of the family and have made life long friends.
