Fantastic view of Ohrid lake from the balcony, very spacious apartment and a super friendly host (although we had to use translator to communicate). I can only recommend this place.

Villa Rira is an incredibly peaceful and relaxing place, far removed from the usual tourist spots. The warm hospitality of the host family really made our stay special – they were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed delicious meals made with fresh ingredients straight from their own garden, which added a lovely personal touch to our dining experience.
Unfortunately, it rained during our visit, but that wasn’t a problem at all. The hosts lit a cozy fireplace in our bedroom, making the atmosphere even more charming. Although we didn’t get the chance to go hiking due to the weather, the villa is located near a national park that’s known for its great trails.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Villa Rira!

The house is amazing, a beautiful spot away from the city. So really quiet and you have the lake all to yourself. Perfect place if you have a car and want to relax.

Such nice people! Great food, fantastic wine (I highly recommend it), and the location... simply amazing! There's parking as well (very safe) and it's very close to the main road.

The hotel is very cozy and family-maintained. Our room was comfortable and had a big balcony with a side-seaview. I had an enjoyable conversation with the owner, he is welcoming and acommodating.

They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The family is very hospitable. We felt really at home. The rooms are perfect, there s a beach from the hotel, with a platform which you can use to jump in the beautiful waters of Lake Ohrid. It s stunning! Our hosts make incredibly good fish meals. We recommend the tave me peshk.
