During my recent trip to Albania, I had the pleasure of staying at Vila Shehi Guesthouse, a charming and cozy accommodation nestled in the picturesque countryside. This hidden gem offers a serene escape, combining rustic elegance with modern comfort. The homemade meals served at Vila Shehi are a definite highlight. Traditional Albanian dishes are prepared with fresh, local ingredients, and each meal is packed with flavor. The breakfast spread is hearty and offers a variety of traditional meals, perfect for fueling up for a day of exploration. Feel free to ask for some coffee and deserts. You can enjoy your meal while overlooking the scenic views from the dining area, which adds to the overall experience. Only thing I believe further customers would love to get is the information about the cost of wine tasting (20€) to prevent any possible negative comments in the future from other customers.

Overall, the location was great; although it was situated in a rather sketchy alley, it is conveniently located in the vibrant and trendy Blloku neighbourhood, surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, pharmacies, and supermarkets. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. There is also the option for private parking on-site, which we did not use but certainly appreciated. Finally, the price was fairly reasonable.

The best experience I have ever had in anywhere I have stayed across the world. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Enki, she is the kindest most hard working owner I have met before. She went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. Everything was clean, she let me stay in her house and watch TV to wait for my flight and charged my devices because my charger didn’t have the right adapter. I will be back to this place when I come back to Tirana. I rarely write reviews but for Enki I need to. 5* all round, all the best Enki!

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location, room and shower super clean, but more importantly, Genti is constantly making sure you are feeling home and supporting any request to make you stay relaxing - Great host !
Genti was a great host, Although they state that cash is the required/preferred payment they allowed us to pay half by card to avoid taking money out with Tirana ATMs which have a 6 euro fee! He also kindly provided us with a free shuttle in the morning so we could get to the airport which we really appreciated as we forgot to request one in advance (our fault) but he still managed to sort us out!
Thanks again!

The most striking location is directly opposite the airport. It was still surprisingly quiet. Sockets didn't work (except for a bathroom), the room with the charm of a hostel. The breakfast was quite passable. well - everything is bearable, but in the end at an inflated price by Albanian standards.
Very comfortable room and very. good shower. The location was very near the airport and very quiet at the same time. Free transfer from and to the airport. The host (Genti) was very nice and helpful. We really enjoy the stay.

Very close to the airport, just a five minute walk, 24/7 reception. Generally clean (except for a worn down, rather smelly and mouldy bathroom) and surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was ok-ish, misses a little love, some more options and somebody who's constantly refilling.

Of course it's absolutely overpriced for what you get. It's a nice building from the outside, but quite worn down inside. Considering the other options close to the airport it's still one of the cheapest.
Great host and a perfect location if you have an early flight. You can get to the airport in literally 5 minutes.
Place was clean, safe, and the host waited for us to welcome us personally.
I stayed here for one night since it is close to the airport, but I would return for a much longer time because it is a very relaxing place and so quiet as well. The host is fantastic and, even with a last-minute booking, picked me up from the airport and took me back for the next day's flight. The room facilities are excellent, and the beds are comfy.
High-quality, extremely relaxed place close to the airport with a fantastic host and airport pickup.
Best location ever for getting to/from airport! It is just a few minutes walk from the Departures entrance. Yet, it is somehow still very quiet from outside noise. It is a home/guest house, with 3 rooms on the second floor of a family's home. Friendly and helpful hosts. Basically, this is an amazing value place to stay for one night next to airport. The problems with this place can be forgiven due to the excellent location, friendly hosts, and low price. Overlal, great value and perfect for our needs.
Gentjan was a great host – he cared a lot, picked me up from the airport, and even mailed something to me on his dime after I forgot it at the hotel.
