I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS but felt compelled to write this one. I think I last wrote a review around 2011, so you all keep this in mind. Further I have used booking since around 2010. This place does indeed have all the nice scenery and it is in a quiet location not far from Brussels center. So the positive comments are well founded. Having worked in customer service and being a world traveler I am loathe to write reviews but the reason why I am writing has to do with breakfast.

We love The Sablon. The absolute best location in Brussels. The apartment is an architectural gem. So well done, comfortable and spacious for our family of three. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace, reading and relaxing after a day of touring. Thank you for hosting us. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Brussels.

Cinzia was a great host, offering pastries each day at the door plus some. bread and the basics in the fridge (butter, milk, jam) as well as tea, coffee, sugar, etc. The places was in a lovely little street by a church, with ample street parking (she even offers a lend of the blue disk to mark the hours) and several nice places to eat in the immediate vicinity (particularly liked 36 Baronomie for small sharing plates and Le Bar Jo). The bed was very comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was outstanding and the small kitchen next to the dining room had everything you need for a short stay. Dogs stay free, which is a huge bonus!

I stayed in a double twin room on the second floor. The second floor's kitchen, dining room, and bathroom are shared with one other hotel room. The showerhead was honestly amazing, the best I've used. Everything was clean.
