The staff there are super helpful with all questions from directions to tours and getting taxis. I went on a tour organised by the hotel to key places outside of Dunhuang like yumen pass and ghost city. The tour is good value and a must do. The hostel was relaxed and was designed to look like the grottos. The design of the hallways and rooms were attractive. The hostel was next to a canal and a couple blocks from the night market and the main shopping street.
