It feels very homely and very safe. The room was comfortable and the family dog was lovely. Would definitely recommend this place as an affordable, comfortable and welcoming stay. Especially convenient for the airport and a short taxi ride to the old town.

This is a beautifuly renovated,stylish ,spacious gem of a hotel. It is very close to the historic centre ,only a 15 minute walk and amazing value for money..I had reserved a single room but was given a really comfortable doulble room for no extra cost.The communal kitchen is very well equipped, the whole place is spotlessly clean and Paola,Jose and Sara were so helpful and attentive. Really comfortable beds and pillows and very pleasant external areas to relax in... I cannot recommend it highly enough.

It was one of our best stays in Colombia, we felt absolutely like at home, with our own room with a fan and AC, a kitchen and a beautiful terasse. The people at the hostel are super nice, and everybody was super dog-friendly to our border collie Mel.

This apartment was amazing value! The room was really really nice and very clean. There’s a great area out the back to chill. Nice and close to the airport, and easy and cheap to get to the old town by taxi (uber can be a bit slow, but the indrive app is good).

    Great location! Very central and the pool is really nice during the hot afternoons. The balcony is also great. The apartment is surprisingly quiet for being in such a central area of the city. Very well equipped too. Great host, very responsive.

    The hotel is a nicely decorated old townhouse at a great location in the middle of the old city center. Good breakfast buffet with fresh fruit. Nice pool, although it could use a better filter. We had a nice balcony with plants with good streetview. The double balcony doors kept most of the general city noise outside. The room was clean.

    Good location in a quiet street, 5-10 mins walk from the historical centre. David was extremely friendly and helpful. Thank goodness the room had a/c! It s a described as a hostel, but I would call it a small guesthouse (5 double rooms, I'm pretty sure alĺ were en-suite).

    Definitely a guest house and not a hostel, but David was so lovely for the entire stay and really went out of his way to look after all the guests. He even hailed and haggled with a taxi for me when I was checking out and going to the bus service. A very sweet man with a heart of gold. Room was clean and comfortable, and the place is on a super quiet street right in the heart of the action in Getsemani. Would recommend if you want a quiet stay, not a social hostel vibe.

    Nice and chill hostel in a quiet neighbourhood just near by the beach and close to city center. I stayed here a couple of nights with my husband and my 2 kids and we had a nice and enjoyable time. The room was perfect for us, it had a double bed and a twin bunk bed, which we appreciated with the kids. The room has aircon and has it's own key. The staff was lovely and helpful and the other guests were very chill and quiet by the time we were there.

    I had a great time at Makako, this hostel made my stay as there is a super good vibe with the staff and the other guests. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet, the beach and city center are less than 10 min walking, and there are supermarkets and restaurants all around the area. The hostel is very safe and has aircon in every room. I would definitely come back!

    The hotel has a great location, you can walk from there to the city centre and everything you need. View from the rooftop is very nice. The room was quite quiet and very clean. Smart room was a little bit hard to handle, but once we figured it out it worked quite well. Breakfast was exceptional and felt very exquisite. Staff was very friendly. Also the small pool is very nice, overall an exceptional hotel where you feel very at home and cosy.

    Nice and quiet hotel outside of the busy streets of Getsemani and the old city, just a 10 minute walk to Getsemani. Had a few problems with the paying, but sorted it with Richard's help. All in all good stay also because of the kitchen we could use. And Richard was a great host
