Rustik House is a recently renovated guest house in Medellín near Atanasio Girardot Sports Complex.

Loved this stay! It’s more of a coliving house than a hostel but I didn’t mind. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was really nice. I would book again if I find myself back in Medellin.

Casa Almarita - Hostal, Bar y Restaurante in Medellín provides accommodations with a casino and a bar.

My experience at this place is a bit mixed. The most positive aspect is the location; in a nice area of Medellin with plenty of nearby transportation, places to eat and supermarkets. The hostel itself, is okay, it has potential to be much better but definitely needs work. The room I stayed at was a bit dark, but fair for the price you’re paying. There were two things that I would regards as negative, the vibe with some of the gusts staying there was a bit off. For one, there was a drunk guy singing very loudly in the middle of afternoon, which was uncomfortable to say the least. There was another awkward situation with a Jamaican guy who started to “hit” on girl that worked at the hostel in what I felt was inappropriate manner, I do understand this is not the hostel’s fault, but they should work a little extra hard on assuring their place feels safe for gusts. The staff was a mix of; some friendly people and some aloof individuals. The other thing I found bothersome was the fact that there were cockroaches in the rooms and kitchen, in fact I found some in an opened bag of crackers I had, the morning I left while on a bus. I do highly appreciate someone working there (if not the owner) messaging me after I left and asking how they did, if it hadn’t been for that, my rating would have probably been lower. Asking for constructive criticism is the way to improve!

Great location, safe and very clean hostel. They clean the room every day, offered shower towels + towels for the pool. In this building there is a small gym, heated pool on the rooftop and laundry - while in the other building is where all activities and parties happen. Better to stay in this one and go there whenever you feel like socialising. Quiet at night, comfy beds with curtains.

The hostess was charming and communicative, with lots of suggestions for things to do. The hotel is beautifully done, in colonial style with great facilities including a lovely shower and air conditioning. It is very convenient for transport links and there are many restaurants, bars etc on the doorstep. Our room had no windows, but this did mean that it was quiet at night.

Very pretty place and super friendly, helpful staff. I initially booked this guest house, I arrived in the early afternoon and heard construction sounds near my room. When I asked for a quieter room they offered to relocate to the nearby luum boutique hotel. It was equally nice, friendly and comfortable, and much quieter. Slept very well and one of the best arepas con huevos I had in Colombia :)
