Favorite part is the included kitchenette that has all the basic cookware needed. More affordable to buy from a grocery store and cook at the hotel. Location is great if you have a car as it is not walking distance to the main part of town.

Breakfast was phenomenal. Also, very close to attractions in the area, but in a less crowded part of town. It worked terrific for our family of seven. We also had pizza, which was the best pizza we had while in the country.

Moon Wonders was built by a master craftsman. The detail to the theme of the Moon and Outer Space is astounding. The furniture is hand-crafted and is beautiful. The house is part of the family estate. It is located close to town while also feeling secluded and safe. We have stayed in five very nice places so far on our three-week visit to Costa Rica, and this has been our favorite place so far.

We loved being away from the crowds and having a more rustic experience on this lovely little farm near San Luis. Gracious hosts and yummy breakfasts! I particularly liked the blackberry jam! Nice view from the hammocks on the front porch. Was small but cosy.

Great hosts. Helped me find transportation and answered all my questions.
2 reserves within easy walking distance, private waterfall across the street.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
This is a fantastic bungalow that offers great views of volcano Arenal and the lake. The location is great as it is outside of a quiet village and very tranquil. The bungalow is large and conveniently furnished.
The owners are very friendly. We enjoyed the daily breakfast on the big terrace of the restaurant. There are several breakfast options and the Costa Rican breakfast was sensational. We would definitely book this place again.
There are small shops and restaurants in the surrounding area.
Wonderful place to disconnect from the busy towns, peaceful, with a beautiful view on the volcano 🌋 and the valley
Tasty restaurant just 1 min walking from the hostel
Very kind staff, great breakfast
The setting is wonderful and all the better for being at the far end of a bumpy track! The ambience is great. The staff at the Nepenthe were very helpful. The Phoenix restaurant is great too. Juan, the maitre d', was charming and so so helpful; played a large part in sorting out a badly mozzie eaten foot by providing flasks of mango leaf infused hot water in which I soaked my foot. And, hey, the food is great as well!
Great location, nice staff, in the middle of the nature you can see so many plants and animals, it’s just great !
The cacao tour is really worth it and the guide is incredible he knows everything about nature in Costa Rica ! It’s the 3rd time I stay here and I would stay there again and again!
