Guest Houses in Río Segundo

I only stayed here for one night, but it left such a deep impression on me. I arrived early, feeling exhausted from travel and a little unwell, and the room was already ready for check in - something I was incredibly grateful for. But what truly made this stay unforgettable was the family hosting the place. Their kindness and care were absolutely extraordinary. They were there for every little question, provided me with everything I needed, and made me feel not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for. It was the kind of warmth and generosity that’s rare to find - I almost felt like I had become a part of their family. Thanks to them, I had a perfect rest and a smooth trip the next morning. I’ve never stayed anywhere quite like this before. The kindness I experienced here was truly something out of this world :)

This guest house is the perfect place to stay when flying out of or to San Jose airport. We were picked up right at the airport with no issues and driven right to the guest house late at night. We didn't have to worry about a taxi or finding the place. Our rooms on our arrival and departure were clean, comfortable and beautiful. We rented a car from them and it was delivered directly to our guest house the next morning and we drove off with two incredibly comfortable beach chairs and a large cooler. All which got used daily. The car was excellent. We drove from Uvita up the coast to Potrero and over to Monteverde, then back to San Jose to drop the car off and sleep for our last night in Costa Rica. The car was perfect for our journey. We had no issues on the roads and some of them were very bumpy like in the monkey trail. Having a car gave us tons of freedom so we could drive to see sunsets and different beaches. The nicest thing about renting a car from this company is that they quote the price up front and there are no surprise insurances that we needed to pay. I found them very affordable compared to other companies and they were a pleasure to work with. Every time I emailed them they responded promptly. Our driver picked us up and drove us to the airport for our return trip home. Both drivers upon arrival and departure were safe, friendly and punctual. I would definitely recommend Casa garista guest house and car rental to anyone who is doing a similar Journey.

Gorgeous property with a lot of history. HUGE room and bathroom. Extremely friendly hosts who were very welcoming and happy to provide recommendations. Lovely breakfast.

Place was easy to find and very clean. All the amenities were described and the place was just as pictured. It was very close to the airport runway and I could hear the airplanes take off/land so this might not be the best option if you're a light sleeper.

I greatly appreciated the pick up service at the San Jose Airport, and the assistance of Grethel in orienting me to the area. I also greatly appreciated her assistance in arranging for a taxi in the early hours so I could return to the airport for my flight home.
