The staff was not overwhelmingly friendly, but I do believe that these very young women are doing their best to run the place.

The hosts and the ladies preparing and serving the food were absolutely nice and helpful. We were allowed to check in earlier on arrival and check out later on the day of departure. Stunning view over the Paúl valley from the rooftop terrace. Kate is a great host: speaks all languages possible (😀), has all the guests dinner together and has a thorough knowledge of the entire island, giving great tips for hikes and restaurants! Staff was extremely friendly as well! The walk up the hill to get to Casa is quite steep but it’s like you feel rewarded once you get into this little paradise at the end of it!! The best breakfast I had.. he even made polenta! :) If you have the time, it is wonderful to just sit in the kitchen and have a cup of tea while you talk with Vito. The place is super well situated, in a quiet street and a 4min walking distance from shops and restaurants/cafes. We slept with a view of the mountain..simply beautiful. The hotel lies in the middle of the town Paul, but has a nice garden which gives you peace and quiet. The host Marco is lovely! He speaks fluently English and helps you with anything you need; trails for hiking, arranging transport or reccomending restaurants. The rooms are very neat and have everything you need. The big balcony overlooking the garden have nice seats where you can relax! The breakfast is nice and abbondant. The price quality is just exceptional. Belen and Jose were great hosts, and provided loads of information on where to hike, including hikes we could do from the guesthouse. Something different was made for breakfast every morning and it was always really good - it was also a really big breakfast, which was perfect ahead of a day hiking!
