The location and the kindness of the staff were excellent. One drawback, however, was that the stairs to the room were too narrow and steep to carry a large carrier.

The room I originally booked had a terrace view on the advertisement. When I was taken to my room, it had damp basement smell, dim lights, and not a view of St. Barbara’s Cathedral. It was the view of the parking lot. I was extremely disappointed and then 5 hours later when it was the dark the receptionist explained the people never showed up for the room with a view and it’s open now. The charge will be 600 CZK. I asked for a discount because it was so late at night . No discount and I ate at the thier hotel had the carpaccio and got food poisoning all night from it. Don’t recommend

Nicely located next to a viewing tower in a wood. Good traditional Czech family-friendly restaurant. Breakfast from a 3-option menu. Dinner in the restaurant from a good menu. Ample free on-site parking. Friendly staff. Price value ratio somewhat worse that most similar hotels. Free wifi (speed for streaming was ok).

• Great cost to quality ratio. • The reception person was friendly and quickly introduced us to our room. • The room had a big AC machine, highly useful during the hot summer days. • The room had a small fridge. • The location was peaceful and in the nearby vicinities some historical landmarks can be found. • Small grocery store can be found right on the other side of the street. • The Penzion itself, its interior and exterior, its front yard and the gates feel homely and welcoming.

I come to Kolin a lot, and Pod Vezi is my favourite of the 2 hotels I have been to. The receptionist is very friendly. I have taken breakfast occasionally but I always seem to be leaving very early, so don't normally have time. I will be back again this year,2025, probably another twice I think.
