We stayed for one night on our trip from Berlin to Austria. We were not aware of the beautiful mountain and forest area that was awaiting us. Heide Machold's place is a nice family guest house with simple but comfortable rooms and VERY good beds. Breakfast is served in the adjacent restaurant (which is very well patronised also by local people). In the morning, the host gave us some hints for a short hiking tour of the most amazing rock formations and a terrific view over the entire region. It's a place really worthwhile visiting. A very reasonably-priced overnight stop. Great convenience to have key-safe access, so late arrival would not be an issue. Parking (I was on motorbike) was outside the flats on the pavement. I was assured this would be fine and it was. Sink and coffee-making facilities in bedroom was good, as indeed was the extra nice touch of a fridge in the room.

We stayed 1 night. We arrived in the evening. We were greeted with smiles and received a wonderful dinner. Very tasty food in the restaurant and helpful and friendly staff. The young man spoke excellent English. It helped us a lot because we didn't speak German. Convenient location. Delicious and quality breakfast. We will definitely be back when we are on our way somewhere. It is also a big plus that they accept animals.
