Although it has been completely renovated to a very high standard, this is essentially an old-fashioned, family run bed and breakfast in the German style. There are four double rooms and a family suite, all with private bathrooms. Before I arrived the hostess responded swiftly to my questions and requests, and once I arrived she couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. She serves a generous breakfast with eggs and an assortment of bread, sausage and cheese to each guest individually. The location at the edge of the artist village Worpswede is ideal for motorists (parking) and cyclists. I was on foot, and glad to find that it's just a few steps from the stop for the no. 670 bus from Bremen main station. I chose it because it was within walking distance of a friend's house; the walk to Worpswede (museums, galleries, restaurants and cafes) is about 25 minutes. When I visited there were building works going on nearby, but I wasn't troubled by the noise; the windows are very well sound- and weatherproofed.

It was a perfect place for us since we were just passing by and needed a place to stay close to highway. Reasonable prices and even though there is a shared kitchen and bathroom, there is not too many rooms to share those with, so all worked out well for us.
