We had a great time staying at this quaint guest house. We took the RE2 train from just outside of Berlin, and as other reviews mentioned, a taxi is necessary to get from the Lubbenau train station to the guest house. (It was 30 euro total for 3 of us, and about a 45 minute ride.) We arrived before a few hours before check-in, around 10 am, to the surprise of the staff, (I wanted to arrive early to make the most of the whole day). Even though our rooms weren't ready, we were able to store our luggage and the staff helped us get bikes to ride into the town. Note, only a couple of people on the staff speak English, and I don't think the locals see a lot of US tourists, but we appreciated the help we were given. We got the bikes for the whole day and later, the owner/manager assisted us with a canoe and also made us a dinner reservation. My favorite part of our stay was the incredible dinner!! It was an idyllic guesthouse, right on the water. I would highly recommend this place.

It was a really wonderful stay. The staff were extremely nice (the owner offered us a trip to the train station after our visit for no cost) and the facilities were great. The breakfast was very nice and eggs were made exactly to order. Would highly recommend and will be staying again.

This family-run hotel is located in Kolkwitz, at the edge of the Spreewald Forest. It serves regional Brandenburg cuisine in the conservatory restaurant and beer garden.

Average interior atmosphere but the room was good. Comfortable bed and completely dark in the morning which I appreciate for a good night's sleep. Friendly staff. Didn't serve any dinner. Breakfast was OK.

We spent one night there to start the next day early in the Spreewald-Therme. Nice staff. Spacious and comfortable bedroom and bathroom.
