A good room and a very hospitable owner. The property was easy to fi8nd, it's very close to the centre of Weimar - no more than 10 min on foot. As an extra, we were offered a very nice breakfast.

Nice place with the best location. It was clean, comfy beds and pillows. Cozy rooms. Coffee/tea facilities outside the rooms. We booked one room with bathroom and one with shared bathroom, the shared bathroom was just outside the room and you needed a private key so not at all shared with anyone else. Perfect location with a superb cafe/bar just outside, really close to the rest of town. Check-in was easy with codes and we never met the staff. Check-out was at the bar that belonged to the hotel.

The hotel is located within the centre of Weimar and means that many of the attractions and places to visit can be reached by walking. The hotel is tastefully decorated and the room is comfortable, with chairs and desk and comfortable beds. There is a en-suite showeroom. I took the opportunity to have the breakfast during my stay, you need to book in advance, by signing up on the sheet at breakfast room on arrival. The breakfast is an additional cost. It was nice and good value for money in my opinion. There is secure gated parking at the property There is a car lift system to maximise the parking space. I couldn’t work out how it works, but thankfully I arrived early and didn’t have to operate the lift.

Pension Alter Zausel is located within a 15-minute walk of Weimar’s historic and cultural centre. This family-run guest house provides free parking and a daily buffet breakfast.
