The entire staff was fabulous. Upon arrival the owner sat down with us to ask what we wanted to experience around Tegernsee. She identified all the things she thought we might enjoy and she was spot on.

    Situated near a main road to Munich in a quiet place, well away from traffic, the Hotel Wirt provided the last resort accommodation on a week night when Munich was busy on account of football. A decent-sized room facing a nice garden with a seating area plus an in-house taverna providing delicious Bavarian food at very generous portions and local beer. Obviously popular with lots of evening guests but still quiet at night! Highly recommended.

    Driving after a long drive it was nice to be welcomed with a friendly smile, and able to get a cold local beer. This was our second visit to the establishmant. You have to remember this is a traditional Bavarian guesthouse, not a modern hotel. I have no negatives as it was what I expected when I booked.

    Very clean room and the facilities were excellent. The pension is located in a small rural town where you can easily find peace. There is a small playground which is a big plus if you have small children. We went for a short walk, there are plenty of smaller gravel roads in the area around the pension.
