The hostess ( we never caught her name) was very attentive--although she didn't speak English and although our Spanish was lacking she was so convivial that we all just arrived at understandings when we talked.
The place was cozy, the pool refreshing, the digestivo after dinner was a welcome addition and the breakfast in the morning was one of the best we had on the Via de la Plata ( only a hotel in Salamanca beat it out in terms of variety, but that was a city hotel).
We loved staying here and during our time on the VdlP we have stayed in albergues, rural houses, pensions, apartments, and hotels. Definitely in our top three favorite places on the Camino.

I need to appreciate this hotel because they have a bidet - something that I missed the most in Europe.
Stayed here after a long, intense walk from Silleda to Ponte Ulla (although you need to walk for an extra 30-45min from Ponte Ulla to reach this hotel), and I had a good rest.
The restaurant was also good

The location, cleanliness and staff were great. The room was quite small and there was no capability to adjust the temperature of the room, so it felt cold at times.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Casa Capilla is a charming country hotel in a wonderful location beside the River Ulla and next to the ancient Ledesma Bridge. The rooms are immaculate, the public spaces decorated with original art from local artists. The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. It was a real pleasure to stay there
