Maria is a great host, and the place is amazing! I was surprised with our room; the pictures do not do it justice.
The location is nothing short of magic, and it's super close to Mirador Orellan. A few minutes drive down the road, there's a small town with an amazing craft beer / Texan BBQ place, and I was blown away by it.
I loved the little tavern, and it's local druid vibes.
This is a place I'd love to come back to.
As an extra, the cats on the property are the friendliest.

I didn't like anything. I made the booking, but when I arrived, during their posted operating hours, the doors were locked and no one answered the bell. I returned one and a half hours later and the door was still locked and no one responded to the bell. I sent multiple emails to the property, but never got a response. It was after 6:00pm and I had to make other arrangements as it was Sunday night and getting cold. At approximately 8:00pm someone finally called me, but by that time had had already checked into another hotel. I told them what had happened and got no explanation and then they charged me for the room on top of that. Would never recommend staying here.

Wonderful stay right on the Camino in this charming town. Olga was friendly and very helpful! A great space downstairs with a kitchen and ample places to sit. Room was clean and very comfortable. I loved being able to open the balcony door a bit before the night got too chilly.

It was everything I needed in a hotel. Nice location, easy access and Miguel was wonderful and caring. 10/10 would stay again.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Isabel is an amazing host, did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable, which was especially valuable for us because we were travelling with our 1,5 year old baby. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. Dinner was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Isabel.
The property is in Orellan, very close to the “mirador de Orellan” and “las galerías de Orellan “, so a perfect location to get a panoramic view of las médulas. The little village itself it’s lovely, quiet and welcoming. We loved walking down the streets.
Great location, very near Las Médulas. Easy to find, easy to park. We stayed only one night, on our way south, so we didn't mind the fact that the room was small and basic. No complaints, everything was adequate.
Very well planned and renovated rooms with nice shower and quiet and efficient air conditioning (essential in summer). Isabel and her husband care absolutely lovely for their guests and their cooking at night is the perfect finish for the day. We felt extremely welcome.
Very close and ideal spot to visit Las Medulas. Great hiking opportunities in the area.
Isabel is a charming hostess, efficient, hardworking and speaking English and French. The room and shower were good. The barn restaurant has a lovely ambience and the dinner menu is original and very tasty.
The Palliero is as much a home as a hotel. Isabel is a great host, and her cooking based on old Roman recipes is excellent. The location was great for a mid point stop between the monasteries of the Sil valley and Leon, and right on the doorstep of the old Roman gold mines at las Medulas - very interesting and plenty of good walks.
