This was a very peaceful and beautiful place. It far supassed our expectations. The rooms/bathroon were very clean. The hosts were absolutely amazing, quiet and friendly (not in your face), so were the other guests. Quiet and respectful. The hosts leave you to enjoy the place in peace, while they busy themselves running the domaine. They were very organised, professional and helpful. The hosts went above and beyond the call of duty and fed us despite not booking dinner with them. Thankfully, they had just about enough food for us. Do book in advance, it's well worth it! I loved the scrumptions homemade evening meal and breakfast. My sister mentionned my birthday to them, so they surprised me with a birthday candle on the desert :-). We will defintely come back on our next little adventure to Aiguebelette (by car, this time)! Overall, the locals are very friendly as well.

The place was really clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I received clear instructions for the check-in & there was a parking spot available which was really handy. I’m actually looking forward to stay there again!

Everything. Jerome was very attentive and helpful with advice. He also looked after us with enjoying and appetising breakfasts. An added bonus was that one of the guest house dogs knows the mountains very well and is always keen to explore them once again. Jerome is very happy to offer a "borrow my doggy" service to competent hill walkers who stay at the guest house. Fellow, that is the dog's name, even has a GPS tag on him, so that is a useful safety feature for those out walking with Fellow for the day. Fellow looks after himself, whilst keeping an eye on you at all times, and he is better at hiking, and even scrambling, than you will ever be. :-)
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Fantastic reception by the host lady, such a quiet and peaceful place! Great breakfast too! A few minutes by car from the place is a beautiful waterfall and also a lake is a very short drive.
Lovely friendly hosts, spacious bathroom with numerous toiletries etc provided, way more than top hotels.
Quiet location, nice seating area for our use. Excellent breakfast.
Fantastic breakfast and very understanding hostess when we arrived a lot later than planned. Wonderful walk recommendations and maps to borrow
