PortugalWhat an amazing and interesting place to stay. We loved the experience of staying in a centuries-old listed building and discovering aspects of it's history and architecture. Having a great breakfast in a dining room steeped in history was memorable.
Secondly, Paul and Melissa were fantastic hosts and it was wonderful to get to know them. Meeting them added to the whole wonderful experience of staying at Le Chateau. If they invite you to chat with them over tea, grab the chance!

The host, Myriam was very welcoming and made sure we had all we needed, including sourcing dairy free yogurts for my daughters' breakfast. The cottage is beautifully decorated, with lots of gorgeous books about the local region. The huge terrace at the back provided much needed shade and space for quiet rest after a long journey.
