The 60s-style "retro" look in the bedroom and especially the shower room. My hostess went *way* out of her way, literally, by coming to get me when I got lost. I found out on this trip that my Android--my 1st phone of this type, as I'm a technophobe--is worthless for maps and directions without Wifi. So all I could do was call for directions at the exit for Challans. My gracious hostess led me through at least 6 kilometers of roads and traffic circles. I never would have found her place otherwise. I wanted to offer her some gas money, but felt she might think it "declasse'." Merci encore, Madame!

Breakfast was delightful, with grapes served from the garden, eggs, delicious breads and homemade jams. Our hosts had many great recommendations for places to visit. We wish we had stayed more than one night!

    Superb chateau from top to bottom. Large rooms. Large beds which are very comfortable. Hosts super nice breakfast is good value and plentiful Pool is perfect for doing nothing or swimming in the warm waters. Within 3 or 4 beach resorts after a short drive.

    Great family friendly, spacious 2 bedroom room with kind and friendly hosts. We enjoyed breakfast by the pool and a swim (the pool was a nice temperature and located in a sheltered garden).
