What was there not to like? Everything was absolutely beautiful, quiet, the hosts were so kind, there were so many animals for our small family to pet, view, and enjoy. We would definitely stay again. Dinner was offered, breakfast was offered, local products are available for purchase. We were upgraded to the pink room and it was absolutely magnificent. thank you for a very nice day!

For our last night in the Loire Valley, we had dreadful weather but we stayed at the beautiful 15th century Chateau d'Ainay-le-Vieil castle hotel and ate a fabulous dinner at La Volière, the castle restaurant. Our room was located in one of the towers of the castle ramparts and had a magnificent spiral staircase leading up to it. The castle hotel was so cool and we briefly battled the cold and rain to do a little exploring of the grounds. The breakfast basket was adorable and fabulous.

    Great location, right in the centre of town, with off the road parking for our motorcyle. Very kind and caring reception. nice apartment with good facilities. Fresh bread, croissants and homemade jams for breakfast. Quiet and comfortable in a great village.

    Perfect peace in the countryside, a charming rustic retreat, great hosts and an excellent breakfast. We had great weather and sat outside enjoying the sun in the evening. Herisson and Montlucon are in easy reach and it was a great place to break our journey South.

    Great welcome from the hosts. Beautiful location, peaceful but not far from the motorway and easy to find. Very good evening meal in the garden. We needed a separate room for one family member and that worked well for us: we had our own entrances and bathrooms. Historic farm buildings converted with great flair but also with modern comforts. Excellent breakfast with eggs from their chickens and lots more, delivered to our very spacious family room. We look forward to staying again in the future.
