The owner’s hospitality was really nice, making my stay more enjoyable. The rooms are clean, quiet and well furnished. Additionally, the kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed for cooking.

I loved the look of the old main domaine, the history of the place, the room I was in with its unusual design and tasteful fittings, the grounds and pool, the proximity to the town and access, the staff - everything ! Probably the nicest place I stayed in 6 weeks in France. Excellent value. But don,t all go please as I want to go back....

What a delightful place. Perched on a hill just outside Angouleme (10 minutes drive away). The location is very tranquil. Philippe is a lovely host - very helpful and welcoming. He is a great cook and served us a delicious meal out in the garden ( needs to be prebooked). The room was very spacious and well organised. There is a lovely swimming pool, open 11 - 7.30.

The breakfast was delicious. Fresh bread, croissants, pain perdue, porridge, etc. Freshly squeezed orange juice as well.
The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. The grounds are well kept and relaxing to walk around. And it's a 16th chateau! So neat to experience sleeping in a castle.
