We picked Galan and this property as we were looking for an overnight stop on the V81 cycle route. Galan is a very pleasant small village on the ridge and the property is a beautiful and historic building with very friendly hosts. They provided a nice dinner by request as nothing was open on the Tuesday night we stayed. They also stored our bicycles safely and allowed us to check in a bit early after a slightly rainy ride. It had a very family and laid back feel we liked. And a very comfortable and spacious room with heated towel rack in to dry our cycle clothes.

    We were met with a very friendly and helpful reception. We enjoyed both the evening meal and the breakfast that were served in front of an open log fire. The room was spacious and comfortable with a pleasant view. Parking is in the large driveway in front of the chateau and the wifi works well. A charming location. We will return.

    We had dinner and breakfast. Patrick and Lisette were very accommodating, both over dinner (we arrived late and they quickly cooked a meal for us) and during breakfast. Lovely hosts.
