They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Lovely small cottage in a great area of outstanding beauty, lots of things to do including hikes, towns, lakes and beaches if the weather allows. Plus Dusty and Rose are great hosts.
It was quiet and peaceful surrounded by nature. The hot water was brilliant and the shower very good. Breakfast pack was lovely. Sitting on the patio watching the birds feed was lovely. Gorgeous weather enhanced the experience. Hosts very nice. Spacious and bright .
It is a beautiful location with wonderful veiws. It's a quiet secluded location which blends into the natural surroundings. The only noise at nighttime was the wildlife.
I would recommend this place to anyone for a peaceful getaway.
Beatrice was a wonderful host who was so helpful and friendly
It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts were great and easy to contact, we noticed a mark on our duvet but they reassured us it was clean and still dropped off some clean sheets at 10pm for us. Only downside is duvet is very hot and heavy so could be changed for the summertime. It was in a great location for the lake and some lovely walks. Definitely stay again.
Lovely hosts, with welcome package on arrival including home made bread which was very nice. The cottage was very cosy and welcoming with everything we could need for our stay. Great location too for all the places we wanted to visit in the area.
The property was in a great location, area was quiet. Had all the essentials there for you. Was close to shops and lovely views as soon as you step out of the apartment.
