Hosts were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Room was amazing, with a personal touch of mince pies and sherry. Fantastic location.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Great apartment in centre of town, very convenient to train and bus stations and all town amenities. Apartment was spotlessly clean and we appreciated the welcome gifts. Communication with the hosts was easy and very pleasant, they made themselves available for any concerns we may have had but there were none. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the apartment was despite its central location. Hosts provide a very thorough booklet on everything in and around the apartment. Enjoyed our stay there and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Was apprehensive reading some reviews but the stay was very pleasant. Good for a group of friends, easy to walk into town and area was quiet. No issues with internet, heating worked well, beds of good quality and at an affordable price in the area. Also was allowed early check in which was very kind of the hosts.
Incredible Guest house in a village only a mile and a half from Burnley. The interior is gorgeous, sympathetically furnished to the historic origins of the building. It is almost a destination in itself! Plus there is a lovely walk up to the reservoir from the door, and plenty of places to eat a short drive away. The hosts were perfect, the breakfast delicious and the china bone! What more could you ask for except a goal.
Hurstwood Hall is in a quiet rural location and the house itself exceeds expection. The hosts are charming. The room was amazing, atmospheric and beautifully decorated....with lovely views over the garden & countryside beyond. Breakfast was superb with top quality ingredients, served with a flourish on exquisite bone china.
