Now, for context, I’m someone who works away from home a lot, and regularly stay in cheap accommodation in this price bracket. I’m not expecting a 5* hotel, and don’t give poor reviews if it’s not - in fact I rarely give a negative reviews. However this is, by far, the worst place I have ever stayed. People shouting in the corridor or large groups in the room next door, talking loudly and playing music till late. Then there is the REEK of cigarette smoke. The fact that the sheet wasn’t big enough for the bed, the broken window blind that means you have to stand on the window sill to manually roll up. The positives were that the bathroom was fine, clean and with a good hot shower, there were clear instructions from the hosts, but neither of those points make up for it.
I very nearly left and got another place to stay, and kind of wished I had
