Nothing this was not a Hotel is was nothing more than a hostel. We arrived having and the person behind the reception was a young lad wearing trackie bottoms a sweat shirt and a baseball cap. Nothing professional about him. There was also a family their that we thought were guests but tuned out to be staff members, also dressed very scruffily . We were given a room key and told where the room was. Going up the stairs to said room there was an overpowering smell of dead rodent or similar. I live in the country side so I know what that smells like. The has tried unsuccessfully to disguise the smell with air fresheners, it didn't work. The room on first entering looked clean however when I entered the bathroom there was an overpowering smell of raw sewage. I had to hold my nose when I went for a wee. The bed mattresses where so dated that they dipped seriously in the middle. my husband had to sleep in the adjoining single bed so that we could get some sleep.
In the morning we went down to breakfast which had been set out the night before and covered in cling film. There was a lot of glass frontage to the Hotel?, as I stood outside for a breath of fresh air I noticed the same guy coming down the stairs wearing the same cloths as the night before with both hands down the front of his trackie bottoms scratching himself. Then he went into the breakfast area without washing his hands and started taking the cling film from the dishes that were laid out for breakfast. He even help himself to a pastry with his unwashed hands. There were also some other problems on check in ie: one of our party were given a room that someone else was in, when they retuned to reception they were told that the locks would be changed, I don't Knowe what difference this would make?. Another couple were given a room key to a room that the sheets had not been changed. All round a very disturbing hotel. The family before us paid £24 for a family room .

Janice and Kevin were lovely hosts - we had the pleasure of getting to know Janice in the morning while eating a delicious breakfast she prepared. The room was so cosy and the bed was so comfortable! Had the best sleep. Perfect for what we needed. Thank you for a warm welcome to Inverness!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Returned here after an overnight stay in 2017 as we loved our stay then and this time was just as lovely. Rooms are so thoughtfully and stylishly appointed, beautiful linen, fluffy robes, good lighting, lovely toiletries and a really delightful extra touch of a delicious home cooked snack and a nip of whisky. Breakfast was delightful, fresh fruits, creamy yoghurt and a fabulous full Scottish to follow. The host, Alison is so charming and helpful too. Perfect b and b 💖
Lovely guest house. Great off street parking. Easy stroll into the village. Great hosts and breakfast was amazing. Also thanks Jillian for recommending dinner at the local Indian restaurant.
For a stay to break up a long journey North The Waverley was easy to find, good parking and quiet. The staff really try to help. Cheap and just a step up from a youth hostel.
Very nice B&B! Our host was very welcoming and provided a wonderful breakfast, hot and cold, fresh fruits... cosy, clean, and quiet, all the things we needed!
Great location to discover the Highlands.
Great hospitality, excellent breakfast with fresh seasonal fruit, choice of eggs et ...
Gill is a great hostess, leaves you privacy but is available if needed.
The room was clean and deserves a 4star.
Private parking space available.
Danny and Hilde are very kind and welcoming hosts. There are nice little extras which make you feel most welcome. We also liked the fragrance in the room. The house lies in a quiet neighbourhood. The bed is very comfortable, so we had a sound sleep. Breakfast was wonderful and the two Dachshounds were very cute. This Bed and Breakfast is highly recommendable and very good value for the price. If we come back to Dingwall, we will certainly book here again.
Comfortable single room with separate bathroom for your own use. The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable and Alison was a great host. The whisky on arrival was very welcome. I wanted to explore the area but didn't want to stay in Inverness. Dingwall was a quiet little town ideally situated for exploring by car or public transport. The train station and bus stop is just over the road. Highly recommended.
