Discretely elegant and unpretentious country house hotel, nestled in the Moray countryside. Charming host Graham has had an extraordinary life and it’s no surprise that he and his wife Sheena have made such a success of Blervie and created such a fine and welcoming hotel.
The place is immaculate and attention to detail meant that nothing was forgotten.
Our room was large but not drafty with gorgeous views over the grounds. Loads of hot water was appreciated. Top quality bedding and a comfortable mattress made for a wonderful nights sleep.
There was no television but that added to the feeling of escape from real life.
Breakfast was served at the large communal dining table was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed meeting other guests and hearing some of Graham’s fascinating farming experiences.

Made very welcome, nicely laid out chalet type rooms
Well impressed with smart TV in bedroom.
You are advised to go to the sister hotel for evening meal (Gordon Arms across road). Glad I did as the signature Cullen Skink was out of this world.
Excellent huge breakfast in the morning too.

Cleanliness and comfortable beds. Good space and nice kitchen
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Rooms are spotless, quiet part of Elgin means that you get all the sleep you want, the breakfast is exceptional. Sophie is a great host and you feel welcome from the first moment you see her.
Beautiful and homely Bed and Breakfast. Excellent location for all amenities etc
Breakfast is great just enough.
A great host very accommodating and excellent knowledge of the area and surroundings, and with brilliant stories of old and new. Have stayed twice now and without a doubt stay again. Definitely recommend to family and friends. Thank you so much.
This beautiful guest house is at a fabulous location; it's very close to city centre and also to the railway station.
Lyn and Lee are fabulous hosts; they are so very kind and welcoming. Everything at the guest house had a personal touch to it... With everything being personally handled by them,... This was inclusive of the Breakfast served which was super delicious.
Overall we were very impressed by the arrangements at the guest house and would highly recommend it to everyone.
A really nice, cozy and welcoming old school guest house, authentic, easy to reach and near the city center. Really available and kind hosts, sociable and funny, the INCLUDED BREAKFAST is amazing, plentiful, tasty and so good!
Beautiful old building with comfortable and high standards rooms, delicious breakfasts and first of all the great hosts :)
The building is located near the city center and near to restaurants. It a good point to explore the surrounding area as well
Lovely family run guest house. Right in the town centre at the end of The High Street. Very close to the Cathedral and Biblical garden. The host was charming and very helpful. A very good choice for breakfast. The house was very clean and comfortable. Only drawback, room 1, wash basin was in the actual room. It said parking available - some limited daytime parking on the road, overnight ok. A massive Pay and Display carpark opposite, but couldn't see prices. Apart from that I would recommend it. Good value for money.
The Pines was excellent. The building is beautiful and charming as are the interiors. Our room was spacious and comfortable, as well as quiet. Host Lyn and Lee were incredibly welcoming and helpful with suggestions for evening meals.
