This is a well-maintained old mansion with rooms. We saw the host briefly when we checked in and after that we had a quiet room to ourselves. It had a nice sitting area in the room. The bathroom was down the hall. We had it to ourselves but it could be shared depending on how many guests they have. The Hedgefield House has a long and interesting history. I thought that it was a comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation. We had dinner at a really nice restaurant next door.

The self service check in, using keypads with codes given seems convenient and safe.
Bathroom has recently been renovated.
We were told there would be no onsite staff although, there was a man onsite whom helped source some more milk for the room.
The location was handy and around £7 in an uber to the city centre which worked out fine for us.
Working tv in the room.

Spacious ground floor flat, easy to find, on a quiet street close to a large park and to bus routes into central Gateshead & Newcastle. Responsive host, and straightforward check in and check out with the lockbox.
A warm welcome from the host, a lovely room with a huge en-suite bathroom and all the facilities you will need. The grounds are large and well maintained and even though there is a road nearby it was a really quiet and peaceful stay.
The Old Bakery was spacious, beautifully furnished, warm, clean and comfortable. It was very well equipped and had plenty of storage space for clothing. The location was great - nice and quiet yet on a bus route and with plenty of lovely local pubs. Helen was an excellent host, providing help and advice ahead of our stay and calling in on our first evening to ensure everything was perfect for our stay.
