Very welcoming hosts. The whole building was very clean with a lot of attention to detail. The room(greengrass) was very spacious and clean and finished with nice quality furnishings. Great power shower in the en suite. Full cooked English which was delicious with lovely views across the open fields. But the real beauty about this guesthouse is the owners collection of vintage signage and memorabilia which is all around the building, a proper trip back down memory lane. Would definitely book again.

We stayed in the Old Chocolate Shop for the Goth Weekend. The property was spotlessly clean with almost everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Coffee/tea and milk sachets were provided. The location is absolutely fantastic, walking distance to the 199 Steps, train/bus station, village centre and Pier, shops and restaurants etc, and a few mins walk to a car park. Lots of great little shops and cafes on the doorstep. Check in/out very straightforward. Comfortable beds, lovely shower/bath (two bathrooms very convenient for a family) kitchen was clean and well equipped. I would definitely book here again!

Great little guest house combined with a local tea room. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly and welcoming. Rooms were adequately equipped for our short stay and had all the amenities necessary to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast, which is taken in the tea room, was excellent: tasty and substantial. All-in-all a great visit and would happily return

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Beautiful big bedroom and a lovely clean bathroom. Host cooked a brilliant breakfast each morning. Great location with a few local pubs for evening meals and lots of walks to explore the stunning scenery.
Great location, in the heart of the Heartbeat village, with shops, pubs and the seasonal railway nearby. Englefield is a beautiful home from home, very comfortable, squeaky clean and beautifully decorated, with a gorgeous view from the garden (weather permitting!). Breakfast exceptional, our hosts Liz and Steve a fountain of knowledge and very welcoming. Would go back here again and again, highly recommended and excellent value for money, cannot fault in any way.
Great location, so peaceful. The accommodation was really lovely, so comfortable, so tastefully designed and decorated. Spotlessly clean, with lots of thought put into every detail. Our hosts were lovely too.
Breakfast was superb, great choice. Lovely en-suite room with super king size bed. Very clean tidy and comfy. Angie and Rick were great hosts and very welcoming.
